Cabbage Soup Diet

On the Cabbage Soup diet, you can eat unlimited amounts of cabbage soup for seven days and lose 10 to 15 pounds. The recipe for the soup can vary slightly, but includes a variety of low-calorie vegetables such as onions, tomatoes, and cabbage, flavored with bouillon, tomato juice and onion soup mix. The more soup you eat, the more weight you can lose. On each day of the program specific foods must be eaten with unlimited amounts of soup and water.
Day One: Eat all the fruit you want except for bananas. Drink unsweetened tea, black coffee, cranberry juice and water. Eat as much soup as desired.
Day Two: Eat all the fresh, raw or cooked vegetables that you want. Any vegetables you chose except for dry beans, sweet corn and peas. Enjoy a baked potato with butter for dinner. Eat as much soup as you like. No fruit on this day.
Day Three: Eat all the fruit and vegetables you like. East as much soup as you like. No potato today.
Day Four: Eat up to eight bananas and drink as many glasses of skim milk as you would like. Eat as much soup as you desire. This day will lessen your desire for sweets.
Day Five: Have 10-20 ounces of beef and up to six fresh tomatoes. Drink at least 6-8 glasses of water this day. Eat the soup at least once today. If you do not eat beef- you can eat broiled or baked chicken (skinless) or broiled fish instead.
Day Six: Eat beef and vegetables today. You can even have 2-3 steaks if you like with fresh vegetables or salad. No baked potatoes. Eat the soup at least once today.
Day Seven: Eat all the brown rice, unsweetened fruit juices and vegetables you like. Eat the soup at least once today. No bread, carbonated beverages or alcohol.
