Did you ever take the time to actually watch yourself breathe? Does your chest go up and down? Do you breathe deeply? If not, that may be why you feel tired, full of anxiety and are prone to illness.

A technique has been developed to teach people to breathe fully and deeply. Developed by Dr Judith Kravitz, the Transformational Breathing Founder, this technique will allow the body to take in oxygen-rich blood and let out more toxins. It may also rid the body of long-held emotional baggage. It employs sound, movement, affirmations and a circular breathing method.

Followers of Transformational Breathing believe that by fully oxygenating the system, we can retake control of our lives. Full breathing brings higher-frequency energy into the body. This influx excites the lower frequency energy such as deeply held emotional energy, stored within our bodies. The philosophy indicates in a process called entrainment, the higher-frequency energy causes the lower frequency energy to vibrate at a higher level, making it easier to release. This in effect, allows the body to exhale emotional toxins in the body. Many believe mental and emotional stress can lead to disease and illness. Ridding our body of this stress can result in better health.

According to a senior trainer for the Transformational Breath Foundation, nine out of ten of us are not using our lungs’ full capacity. We are limiting are energy by not breathing fully. Approximately 70% of our physical energy comes from our breath.

So make your next breath count. Sit back, relax and breathe in deeply filling your lungs with fresh air from your abdomen all the way to your chest. Make breathing fully a habit and it may help your health.
